My Cold CEO, My Perfect Seducer - English Ver. (Chapter 1: Oh, God! That Shit CEO!)

Chapter 1 :

Oh, God! That Shit CEO!

******

Violette:

OH LORD, why is this hair so hard to style? I mean, I already wear my work uniform and even though I don't wear a special uniform from the company, I have several work clothes with a blazer and a knee-length skirt. Today I'm wearing my blackish brown set and I think it looks pretty cute. I don't care if it's just my opinion (and not other’s), but I like wearing it.

The uniform is neat, it would be odd if my hair isn't neat.

This is my third day working at Alexander Enterprises Holdings, Inc. I hope it will go smoothly just like the first day I worked there. Working in marketing is not too boring, I think. I’m happy because I’m starting to get used to live independently, even though I’m still in the same house with my uncle. Alexander Enterprises Holdings, Inc. reminds me of someone—well, my friend.

I once joined an organization and it was called Red Lion. Since I was little, I was invited to join the organization by its leader, Brian. It was a very great organization of thieves because the world initially did not know our identities, even though they suffered great losses.

Well, it was very great, before something happens.

I was there as a colleague of Justin Alexander, my friend who I mentioned earlier. ‘Alexander’ reminds me of him. Justin Alexander was a right-hand man of the Red Lion’s leader and I was assigned as his colleague. Justin was a mysterious and cold person, also did not like to be refuted. It was okay until finally, he met a woman named Hillda Esdaquille. Hillda is the wife of a rich young CEO, whose branches of the company were spread across many countries in the world. At that time, we were just doing our activities, stealing in his company, even though it was only some smuggled money from Hillda's husband's subordinates. At that time, Justin met Hillda and that meeting created a special intimate relationship between them.

The incident ended tragically, the war between Justin and Martin, Hillda's husband, ended with the Red Lion being killed by Justin. He ends Red Lion. I still can't believe it, but that's what happened. Now that I think about it, it makes sense, actually. After all, I was the one who accompanied Justin and witnessed everything before my eyes. I know Justin's way of thinking. He is the smartest person that I’ve ever met.

Since three years ago, I have never met Justin again. Last time, Justin and I met Hillda in Paris, then Justin and I returned to New York. In the first month, we still met often. However, after that it seemed like Justin suddenly disappeared. I don't know, I feel different when he’s not by my side because I am used to being his co-worker. I hope he’s more successful than me, considering he is a very intelligent person. I will always remember him. He is amazing.

Ah, it’s finally done. My hair is styled neatly; I just let it down and make a little bit of wavy hair. I smile and stand up, grab my handbag and go to the living room; I want to find the shoe rack quickly and grab my high heels. Argh, high heels is annoying, but I have to wear them.

I walked outside and saw my uncle, Jonathan, sitting in the sofa and watching TV.

"Do you want to go now?"

I stopped, glanced at him, and continued walking. I crouch down when I reached the shoe rack behind the door.

"Uh-hm." I put on my shoes. "I’ll go to work, Nathan. Where's my motorcycle?"

He turned around. Well, Nathan sold our car because we were in a bit of a financial crisis. I have to work hard at my job.

However, the motorbike has made me comfortable enough. It’s like a Vespa and for me it is really comfortable.

"It's outside. Here's the key." Whoops. He tossed it spontaneously in front of me. I caught it, then smiled at him. "Okay. I'm leaving!"

"Be careful..." He said. I got out of the house that was not big enough, kind of minimalist in shape, then took my motorbike. Wearing my pink helmet with a picture of a bear on it, I finally got on my motorbike and left.

"Violette!" Megan shouted, filling my eardrums as she finally reached me, hunched over and panting. She looked like a very tired athlete. I just blinked my eyes a few time, rapidly. "What's going on? Take a deep breath," I said and I patted her back. Finally she stands up with her hands on her hips in front of me.

"Hoaaah! I’M SO TIRED!" She gasped for air. "So dieting by exercising up and down from the second floor to the thirteenth floor is so painful!! Oh, damn it. I don't want to feel that kind of thing again," she said and I laughed.

"We have an elevator here and you chose the worst way," I said. "What's wrong with you anyway?"

He looked at me with an excited smile, as if enlightened by something.

"You know what? It seems like you were called by our CEO," she said, her eyes almost popping out of their sockets. "For God's sake, Vio. Even though I've been working here for a long time, I've never seen the CEO of this company even once. He seems very busy and very mysterious. Can a CEO be that busy?" she said and then she laughed. I shook my head, ignoring her joke.

"What the—what? Is our CEO that scary? Don't try to make me shaking with fear, Meg." I said and she laughed.

"I don't know. It seems like he's doing a survey on all the employees here, even the OB department. I don't really understand. Hmm... Or were you called because you're a new employee? But that doesn't seem possible. Usually, the one who handles us is our marketing boss directly, not the CEO or someone in a top position like him! The CEO usually only deals with the CFO, CLO, directors, and subordinate managers! There's no way he'd want to meet the employees directly, right? Wow, Vio, did you make a fatal mistake?"

I’m shocked. No! I had only been here for three days and I was sure my brain was still good enough to remember that I had done nothing wrong in those three days. So what was going on?

"Ah—er...never mind. Tell me where our CEO's office is," I said, breaking the confusion. Megan nodded.

"Thirteenth floor, get out of the elevator and go straight ahead and the room is the third door on the right of the hallway, the one with the biggest door. Besides, you'll find it because there's a 'CEO blah-blah-blah' sign on the door."

CEO blah-blah-blah? Hell. She didn't remember the rest of it. "Okay. I'll go now," I said and then she gave me a thumbs up while grinning like an idiot.

I shook my head and immediately got up and headed towards the elevator.

Thirteenth floor. Well, that's quite far.

The 'ding' sound from the elevator made the elevator’s cubicle door opened and I took a breath. I stepped out of the elevator carefully—so I don’t trip—and quickly looked for door number three on the right side of the hallway. I walked with my head tilted upward, looking for the CEO sign in front of the door. When I found it, I took a breath. This door was bigger than the others. I tried to calm the rumbling in my chest, trying to relax.

You did nothing wrong, Violette. There's no need to be afraid.

Anyway, where is the assistant? I don't see any assistant here. Did I do the right thing? Ah, never mind.

I shook my head and took a deep breath, letting it out through my mouth. I knocked softly on the door, three times.

"Sir," I called.

"Come in."

I nodded, tried to smile and opened the door as quietly as possible. When I entered, the scent of fruit mixed with aftershave filled my nostrils. The room was air-conditioned and the scent was refreshing. The room was so big and luxurious. So this is what it looks like if it’s the room of an important person. Gah, when will I be successful like this?

I closed the door and turned around. I squinted as I saw the silhouette of a man; his back was facing me and he was just facing the window. Well, not really a window; the wall on the other end was glass. The entire thing was glass. From where I was standing, New York City and its density were clearly visible. The man had his hands in his pockets and still hadn't turned around. I frowned, my hands clasped together and I played with my fingers.

Why...it’s suddenly...scary?

"Umm... Excuse me, Sir—"

He turned gracefully and slowly. I steal a glance. Even though his face was obscured by the sunlight from the glass that now behind him—which made his figure seem to glow and dazzle me—I thought I recognized him. I focused my eyes again and my eyes widened.

"JU—JUSTIN?!!!"

He looked at me with an intimidating gaze. Just silent, expressionless. He still didn't change.

"So—so, you—"

"Is it polite to call your boss directly by his name?"

Gulp.

Argh! Stupid me! Justin is not the warm-guy-type who can give a hug when he met his old friends! Cold is still cold, even though he used to be a warm person when he was in a relationship with Hillda!

"Ah... I'm sorry, I just didn't expect that you..."

"Alexander Enterprises Holdings, Inc. Is that not clear enough?" Justin asked, tilting his head.

Damn it. Why does he always cut me off? I lowered my head and bit my lower lip. Unfortunately, his intimidating gaze continued.

"Yeah—ergh..."

"Sit down."

I’m shocked. He seemed to be sitting up in his super big chair and I just squeezed my fingers. My hands were cold. Not because of the AC, but because the atmosphere here was so scary! Why am I shaking like this when facing Justin?

Is it because he’s becoming a super cold man like that?

I walked slowly and (I’m kind of shaking, actually) towards the chair across from him. I started to sit down and the sound of the chair I was about to sit on was quite disturbing. Damn.

I cursed myself inwardly.

"Well, I didn't expect you to work here," he said, continuing to face me as if he was interrogating me. I swallowed, looking at him.

"I also didn't expect you to be the CEO here," I replied.

He nodded. His suit is very neat, by the way. He’s very handsome and shit... He’s hot.

"I was surprised, by the way," he said, tilting his head to look at me. "I surveyed all the employees and found Violette Morgan's name on there. I was curious and turns out it was really you."

I could only swallow my saliva. Why am I getting nervous? Is my brain running by remembering that he is the 'president' a.k.a the CEO of this company? Did I not remembering him as Justin Alexander?

"Y—yeah, that's it, haha." Shit! What did I do? Stutter. Again.

He sighed. "Well, you haven't changed much. Sit down on that couch over there and I'll talk to you about something after I've done some of my work."

Damn it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I haven't changed much and it seems like you're insulting me, Mr. Alexander.

I just nodded and got up from the chair, then walked towards the sofa in the corner of the room. Then I sat there.

I thought...wow. This is so comfortable.

This room is so cozy and I hope I don't fall asleep here or maybe the Cold and Cruel CEO there will kick me out. Oh, I've given him a nickname, apparently.

He's changed a lot, it seems. He’s getting colder...

I positioned myself well to feel comfortable.

I’m watching him from here, he’s busy with his laptop and it seemed like an interesting sight. He’s very handsome, for whatever reason. I've admitted that since a long time ago, but it just seems like now he looks more mature and of course more handsome. How old is he now? As far as I know, he's two years older than me.

"Is it interesting to watch your boss in secret, Ms. Morgan?"

SHIT!!! HE FOUND OUT!

I blushed and immediately lowered my face. I bit my lower lip hard and cursed inwardly. Damn it...

I ended up just staying still for about ten minutes. The air here is making me feel so sleepy, but I insisted on holding it in, even though it seemed like I had fallen asleep several times.

My eyes snapped open when I hear the sound of a lighter. I immediately turn to face Justin and my eyes widened. He’s lighting a cigarette that had already been stuck in his mouth.

"You—don't smoke," I said, trying to imply a question in my statement. That’s my previous knowledge of him. He didn't smoke!

He’s looking back at his laptop and exhaling the smoke. The smoke’s spreading around him.

"I need it now, Vio. I often stay up late to finish my work and I think cigarettes keeps my body warm."

I frowned, then I shook my head and looked down. "Oh."

He seemed to be looking at me with a frown. I don't know.

"Well, I think we should discuss it now." I looked at him again and found his caramel-colored irises locked on me. I swallowed my saliva with difficulty and I finally managed to nod.

"Hmm," I cleared my throat. He snorted.

"You don't seem to be very good at marketing," he said carelessly. I immediately glared at him in disbelief. I mean, hey! I'm sure that I’m doing my job seriously and I’m trying hard not to make mistakes!

"What do you know about me?! I think I'm doing a good job!" I shouted in disbelief.

He frowned, somewhat cynically.

"Well, get out of my room if you came here just to yell at me. Take care of your resignation letter."

I felt something stab my heart until my heart fell to my stomach.

I could only keep quiet and shut my mouth, then I lowered my head again. I had no choice but to keep quiet. I didn't want to lose my job. Damn you, Mr. Alexander! Why is he so cruel now?

"Why don't you come out?" he asked again and I felt like I let out a smoky breath this time. My blood was boiling.

"I still need my job." I said while holding back my anger, I snorted. I glanced at him, he just shrugged his shoulders indifferently.

Wow, this dude!

"Okay, so try to be polite and hear me out first. Can you do that, Ms. Morgan?"

I snorted again.

"Yes," I said, trying desperately not to sound harsh. Hearing us calling each other by our last names like this make me feel like we have never been best friends before.

"Okay," he said. He’s smoking his cigarette and then blew out the smoke. "So, you better work here."

I frowned. "I’m indeed working in here, Sir," I replied with annoyance.

He then sighed.

"The ‘here’ that I mean is in this room. My executive assistant. I prepared your desk today if you want to change your position. I think you have been my colleague for a long time and you can do it."

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT? HELL. WHAT IS THIS? A STORY ABOUT A CEO AND AN EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT LIKE IN MOST NOVELS?

Oh, no. Don't think too much, Violette. You've been reading too much novels lately.

I know I used to be his partner, but it still shocked me. With him being this cruel, I could die in one day. Die, man! Remember it! Besides, just look at what he did just now. When my voice’s a bit loud, he wanted to fire me right away. I know I seemed a bit rude just now, but hey! He was the one who started insulting me first, right?

I’m already enjoying my position in marketing division. Besides, what will people in this company think when they see me from marketing—a normal position—suddenly promoted to be the executive assistant of the CEO? I mean, CEO, man! He seems to be the owner of this company too. Megan will probably faint if I suddenly tell her about this.

I swallow my saliva.

"B—but... I've had enough with—"

He snorted. "It's not that you need the job, it's that I need you to be my executive assistant, Violette. I feel like I need some help in carrying out my duties," he said, exhaling another puff of smoke. "And seeing that you're working here, I think it's best that you are the one who fill that role. My executive assistant." This time he had stuffed the cigarette into the ashtray.

"Just—I mean, Sir... I also care about what people will say," I said uncomfortably.

"I don't care. If I don’t care, will you still care? You'd better resign if you refuse," he said coldly.

This is coercion!! I will sue him to the authorities!! Oh shit.

Is there no other threat other than 'resign' and 'get out of my room right now'? Does this man know that my weaknesses are those words? I need my job!

"Okay," I finally said after catching my breath. "But... do I... have to share a room with you? Umm… I mean... I...might die."

He frowned, his eyes narrowing at me sharply and so thin like a razor.

I shuddered.

"Why would you die? Do you think that I’ll keep looking at you? I have more important work to do and I also have more interesting women to look at," he said arrogantly.

I was shocked. Hey! I know I'm ugly, but does he have to keep insulting me? What the heck? The Justin Alexander I know is not this arrogant! The Justin Alexander I know is just cold and mysterious, but full of sacrifice. However, who is this? Who is he? He is like a devil. Besides, since when did Justin like to look at many women? Oh, being here not only makes me feel helpless, it also makes me feel dizzy.

"You don't have to insult me, Mr. Alexander. Sorry," I said, my voice becoming firm. "Also, keep my desk away from yours even though we're in the same room," I said firmly again.

He looked at me sharply. His gaze is so intimidating.

"You’re always complaining to me, Violette. It doesn’t change. Are you sure you want to keep working here with that attitude?" he asked again, provoking my emotions.

"Whatever, Sir. That's all I want, please?"

"Well, that's obvious. There's no way a subordinate's seat would be close to a superior's, right? You don't need to be afraid."

Damn it!!! I growled to myself every time I heard his casual but hurtful words. Well, the important thing is that my wish came true. I guess, starting today I have to polish my patience. Meeting this person every day will make me three times more tired.

"Thank you," I said while holding back my irritation.

He nodded indifferently.

"That's all. Get out now. I'll call you back when I have your table ready."

I nodded and excused myself from his presence. He just went back to fiddling with his phone—or whatever it was on his desk—I was so annoyed that I didn’t care. When I was standing outside his door, having closed that door behind me, I clenched my fists. I growled and now I feel that all my muscles tense up. I’m so pissed off! How could I possibly work like this?

I’m walking back to the elevator with a very wide steps like a possessed person and heading downstairs. When the elevator cubicle door opened, I get out of the elevator and walk straight to my desk. Megan immediately runs towards me with her face full of enthusiasm. Ah, maybe she thought I met a charismatic, authoritative, successful, and inspiring person. Well, if she hears my story, she definitely won’t believe it.

She takes her chair and placed it across from me. She looks at me eagerly and put her palm on her left jaw, waiting for me to explain. I rub my face in frustration.

"So, what did he say, huh? What? WHAT? What did he tell you to do?" she asked enthusiastically. Oh, hell, Meg. I'm stressed out. Dear Neptune, I'm so stressed out right now.

"I don't know, Meg. I don't understand either." I replied.

"Hey... don't be like that. Are you being punished or something? Tell me, Vio!! I'M VERY CURIOUS! Besides, is our CEO old? Young? Handsome? Charismatic? Or what?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, please, Meg. You’re making me dizzy," I said and she pursed her lips.

"Come on... I want to know, please..." she begged me. Her eyes blinked, seducing me. Finally I took a breath. The gazes of the employees here are also starting to get ferocious because Megan keep being noisy, so I don't want to extend the problem.

"Okay." I sighed. She nodded enthusiastically like a child in front of me.

"Soooo how's his face? Handsome? A little handsome?" I rolled my eyes, sighing.

"He... He turns out to be my old friend."

Megan's eyes widened, she covered her mouth with one hand.

"Y—YOUR OLD FRIEND?" She shouted loudly. The stares of the people here become sharper. I quickly cover her mouth with my hand. "Meg, relax," I cooed.

She swallows her saliva hardly as I remove my hand from her mouth.

"S—so, what did he do? Since when did you two become friends? Tell me, Vio! For God's sake, I'm so curious!"

"Well, he is...handsome. He’s young, only two years older than me. I mean, he’s in his twenties. He did look ‘brighter than the sun’, but he...he was actually very cold. I've been friends with him since I was little, but I haven't seen him in three years. Then I met him in that room."

Megan was flabbergasted. She seemed so impressed and amazed. I don't know whether she was amazed by my story or amazed by the CEO figure she had illustrated in her mind.

"HOW HANDSOME IS HE? Oh my God, I didn't expect our CEO to be your friend. Plus, now I understand why he called you after surveying all of us."

I nodded.

"He... I don't know, what kind of handsome guy he is. What's clear for me is that his facial features make him look so cruel and cold. I don't know if he can act cute or not because I think he's dominantly cruel."

Megan's eyes seemed to be sparkling.

"Oh my gosh, I can just imagine how handsome he is from here... MY GOD!!" she screamed. I rolled my eyes.

"Well, that's not what's important here, Meg," I said. She suddenly came to her senses as if I had just slapped her. She’s immediately enthusiastic again. "What? What? Come on, tell me!"

Well, at least I won't tell her that I'm Justin's friend and also his colleague at Red Lion. Justin and I could be arrested by the police right now.

"He asked me to be his executive assistant because he already knew who I am. Well, maybe," I said. I shook my head, shrugging. "I get a headache because he's so mean. His threats are always—"

I stopped because it seems like everyone is quiet. No one else makes a sound here, only my voice can be heard in the room. I was surprised, then I stopped and looked around. Megan is doing the same thing. What we get is, everyone's eyes are focused in the same direction, with their mouths wide open—agape—and their bodies looks like it’s frozen. What do they see? God, what’s wrong?

Megan and I finally followed the direction they were all looking.

"I'm looking for a girl..."

My eyes immediately widened.

JUSTIN!

He's here? Well, no wonder everyone was shocked. How could a CEO come here? The CEO who is known to be so mysterious and always in his office. Looking for a girl? What is he muttering about?

Suddenly his gaze caught mine. I immediately turned my face away.

"Ahh... I got you. Violette, come with me." He spoke firmly and pulled my hand when he reached me. Megan and I automatically widen our eyes, but Megan doesn't react to help me. Maybe she’s so mesmerized that she forget to help me. I keep asking her for help, but she ignores me. Everyone was so shocked to see Justin pulling me, even though I'm sure that not everyone here know that he is the CEO here. However, they must have come to one conclusion: this person is rarely seen, so this must be the CEO who is often talked about. Moreover, the characteristics that they know about the CEO here are quite specific, a spiky hair with golden brown color and eyes the color of melted caramel. As for his age and appearance, they don't know. However, I'm sure that now they know it!

Justin keep pulling me until he reached the elevator. Just after leaving the room, everyone was already stunned. Seeing this seemingly important person in the company pulling his employee like dragging a child all the way. What is he doing? Isn't he ashamed of pulling around an ordinary employee like me? Maybe he is crazy? Or maybe... He thinks of me as Violette who used to be his colleague, that's why he acts like it’s so normal?

Yeah, maybe that's it. Well, I'm grateful if that's true. I don't want to deal with the cruel Justin.

When we get to the elevator, the cubicle door immediately closed and he let go of my hand. He pressed a button there and straightened his suit, then put his hands back in his pants pockets. I stood with my head down next to him and cursed myself. What the hell. This is the worst day ever.

Justin just keep quiet with an expressionless face.

"Why did you pull me like that?!! Aren't you ashamed? You're the CEO here! You could have called me through another subordinate or through my boss! Why did you come to the marketing room? Are you crazy?!! What will people say about this?!"

"Fussy as usual," he replied coldly. I growled, clenching my fists.

"If I'm fussy in your eyes, then let me be fussy here and now," I said, snorting incoherently. He doesn't even look at me, he’s still calm. Damn it.

"Justin—I mean, Sir—ahhh!! Enough of that. Look, I can't be your executive assistant if you're doing everything arbitrarily like this! Where's the Justin I used to know what wasn't a jerk? Now you smoke too and you know I can't stand your cigarette smoke!"

"So, basically you think that I'm reckless? Look at yourself, Miss." He replied casually. I growled, ready to let out my bomb of protest. After all, he was more reckless than me and he was accusing me?

"Me? You're the one who—"

"Don't argue with me anymore, Violette. Listen to me," he said, still with his casual expression. He’s still standing straight, unmoving, even though I was basically ranting at him. Now I’m standing almost face to face with him!

Then he continued, "Then again, I hope you are consistent between the past and present. Because you are now my executive assistant and you can only do what I tell you to do. Regarding cigarettes, they are one of my needs and you can't forbid them. Is that clear?"

I snorted, closing my eyes tightly until my forehead wrinkled. A 'ding' sound wakes me up and I open my eyes. It turned out that Justin had already walked away, leaving me behind. I cursed again.

Arghhh—damn!

I run, just to match my pace with his. Even though he’s relaxed, it’s still hard for me to catch up with his steps. Moreover, I’m wearing a knee-length skirt which was of course tight for running, I’m also wearing high heels. After I successfully match my pace with his, he opens the door to the CEO's room and enters the room. I clicked my tongue, then I follow him in.

He immediately goes back to his desk and shows me something on the left of his desk, about two meters to his left. A table. Is that my table?

"That is your desk. Please cooperate, Ms. Violette Morgan."

Ugh. I swallowed my saliva nervously. After that, he sits down and go back to working on his laptop. I stand in front of the door for a long time, looking at my desk, and finally I walk slowly—too slowly—to my desk. I sit there and put my bag on the table. I look at Justin, confused. What should I do?

"Don't stare at me. Can you keep your eyes off of me, Ms. Morgan?" he said casually, his eyes are still on his laptop.

Shit!!!

"I'M NOT LOOKING AT YOU!!!" I snapped in annoyance. He’s just busy on his laptop and he ignores me. "I'm making a hundred rules for you and a worksheet for you. So, be patient."

A hundred? He's crazy! Why so many? Oh my God, could this be the reason why he lost his executive assistant?

"Don't ever think that this rule made me lose my previous executive assistant, Miss," he said as if he could read my mind. My eyes widened. "In fact, they all like the position. They left because of something else. I added some rules when you become my executive assistant because you like to argue."

Argh... Damn it!! I can't take it anymore. I stand up from my chair and ready to say something before I go out.

"Listen, Mr. Bossy. You. Are. Not. The. Justin. I. Know. Period." []
